This event is a gathering in remembrance of the people who were brutally murdered by a culture of misogyny, racism, and white supremacy. A culture that fetishizes Asian women, and treats us as the exotic “other”. That loves us for our food and customs but not our humanity.
In the past year, we have seen a rise in anti-Asian sentiment, even from those in the highest offices that govern this occupied land. We are gathering to say “enough is enough!”
We are coming together to be in community and work on our healing, to turn our collective grief into the passion to fight for our community. We will have speakers and performers to help us ground ourselves in our demands.
Masks will be required for all attendees. Families welcome. If there are ways in which we can make this event accessible for you, please inbox us.
